Colombia quote guide

A bariatric quote has a clinical episode and a follow-up plan. Keep both visible.

Compare the actual procedure, hospital stay, testing, medication and clinical follow-up separately from hotel, transport and other travel extras.

First: define what is actually being quoted

A “bariatric package” can mix medical care with hotel and transportation. Separate those categories so you know whether a price difference comes from the clinical plan or from the travel bundle.

A fair comparison starts by writing the proposal as a specification instead of a marketing label. The purpose is not to decide which treatment is appropriate. That is a clinical question for the treating professionals. The purpose here is narrower: make sure the numbers you are comparing refer to the same work and the same bundle of services.

Questions to send back before you compare prices

  1. Which exact bariatric procedure is being quoted?
  2. How many hospital nights are included?
  3. Which pre-op tests and medications are included?
  4. What clinical and nutrition follow-up is included after discharge?
  5. What parts of the quote are hotel or transportation rather than medical care?
  6. How long should I remain in Colombia?
  7. What would cause the price to change after evaluation?

What the total-trip number adds

After the medical proposal is clear, add the travel layer separately: flights, accommodation, companion costs, local transportation, food, supplies and contingency money. Keeping the trip budget separate prevents a provider with a bundled hotel from looking more expensive than a provider whose accommodation cost simply appears later.

Use the whole-trip estimator once you have a working quote amount.

When you have two proposals

Do not reduce the comparison to “A is cheaper than B.” Put both documents against the same categories. If one proposal says nothing about an item, record that as not stated and ask. If the treatment plan itself differs, resolve that difference before treating the totals as competing prices.

Compare two quote texts

Need another provider to respond to the same case?

Build a short reusable case file first. That makes it easier to give the second provider the same core facts rather than accidentally requesting a quote for a different version of the case.
